Play

Are playground users able to go barefoot?

For safety and hygiene reasons, we heavily encourage all people in the play area to wear socks. However, we understand that sensory issues can sometimes prevent this. Shoes are not to be worn in the play area or on any equipment.

What rules and policies does Shine Shed have to ensure all playground users feel comfortable?

Shine Shed prides itself on creating a safe and nurturing environment that prioritises the comfortability of all its visitors. We have several rules and policies regarding attire requirements and taking photos/videos to ensure that all visitors to Shine Shed feel respected and safe. Can I play on the equipment with my child?

Yes, you can play on the equipment with your child as long as the equipment’s weight limit isn’t exceeded. We strongly encourage you to use this play space to create memorable experiences and bonds.

Are your facilities wheelchair accessible?

Yes, our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We also have equipment available to ensure our facilities are inclusive to wheelchair users, such as equipment hoists, a wheelchair swing, and adult sized change tables.

Can I attend with an allied health professional?

Yes, you can attend with an allied health professional.

​

Are parents/carers required to remain with their children or people they are responsible for?

Yes, parents must actively look after both their children and any other people they are responsible for. This constant supervision is necessary in all play sessions, including open play, parties, private play, school holiday activities, etc.

Should I book or can I just walk-in?

Whilst we do accept walk-ins, we always recommend booking your play session in advance to avoid disappointment. We limit our sessions to 25 players at a time to ensure that everybody enjoys their play session without feeling crowded or overwhelmed.

Do you have gift cards available?

Yes, gift cards are available for purchase on-site.

​

Do you have session passes or multi-session passes available?

No, we no longer provide multi-session passes.

​

Do you provide refunds?

Shine Shed South West only provides a credit for cancelled play sessions. We don't provide refunds except in extenuating circumstances. They will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of Shine Shed South West.

All deposits for parties are non-refundable.

Parties

Do you cater to different dietary requirements?

Yes, we cater to different dietary requirements. If you wish to discuss how we can cater to your specific requirements, you can either call us on 4629 5555 or send us an email at enquiries@shineshed.com.au.

Can I bring my own decorations?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own decorations. However, we kindly ask that you remove these at the end of the party.

Do you provide invitations?

Yes, we have downloadable invitations available in the Parties section of the website.

​

Can I bring my own cake or lolly bags?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own cake or lolly bags. In the Shine On and Shine Bright party packages, an ice cream cake and lolly bags for each child are provided.

Do parents, carers or babies need to pay?

No, parents/carers and babies under 12 months are free of charge.

​

What time should we arrive for our party booking?

You can arrive up to 15 minutes prior to your party. 

​

How much is required as a deposit?

A $100 deposit is required to confirm party bookings. The remaining balance can be paid on the day of the party. All deposits are non-refundable. 

​

When will my party be confirmed?

Our friendly team will contact you to confirm your booking 10 days prior to the party. Please note, you will be charged for the number of confirmed children plus any additional children on the day.
